Oh, my goodness! Are we there yet? Does anyone remember when this coronavirus crisis started? Was it a month, two months, a year? I can’t remember. This has been a nonstop foot race to get gas, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, milk and eggs because the world is going to come to an end. So, you better make sure your butts wiped with the toilet paper you have been hording.
Get a mask stand 6 feet from everyone. Wash your hands and face after everything you touch without gloves. Now wash your nasty sweaty hands when you take the gloves off. School is closed, school isn’t consoled. Now schools closed for the remainder of the year except for online. Are we there yet?
Personally, I can’t help but ask, when is this all going to be over. Everything is shut down, except the pizza delivery guy and the takeout. IF you go to the market you have to have a mask on. If you go to the gas station you can’t go inside without a mask. The sign went from Wanted “Long hard freaky people need not apply,” to “No mask no gas.” Are we there yet?
We have literally gone from a day when men would cough just to cover the sound of a fart. Now we go out of the way to fart loud enough to cover the cough, so people don’t freak out. We have been promised that everything will return to normal. Let’s get through this together while at the same time calling this the “New Normal.”
This is not a new normal for me. Don’t accept this way of life. Let’s get past this with expectations of returning to our normal way life. When I wake up every day, I look to see what’s on the news for the day hoping and expecting this to pass. We are on the down curve of this virus now and the government is talking about slowly opening businesses again.
Join me as we ask ourselves what news today testifies about returning to our normal, and support our officials that want the same thing as we due. Ask them one question, just one, when you call their offices or see them in the lobbies of our state buildings ask them. Are we getting things back to normal? Ask them, Are we there yet?
